Unblocking You: Getting Out of Your Own Way

Self-Induced Obstacles

It’s not always the world working against you. Sometimes, the greatest resistance comes from the inside—the doubt, the delay, the desire to “wait until it’s perfect.” And if you’ve been praying, planning, and still not progressing... maybe it’s time to look inward.

I’ve lived this. High-achieving, driven, gifted—and still stuck. Until I realized: I wasn’t lacking opportunity. I was wrestling with fear disguised as preparation.

You don’t need permission to rise. You need to stop interrupting your own momentum.

WHAT SELF-SABOTAGE LOOKS LIKE

  • Overplanning: You research, plan, and vision-board—but never launch.

  • Perfectionism: You rewrite, rework, and never feel “ready enough.”

  • Comparison: You dim your light because hers feels brighter.

  • Delaying: You call it “God’s timing,” but it’s actually your fear in disguise.

4 WAYS TO GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY

  1. Choose progress over perfection. Let "done" be better than perfect.

  2. Say it out loud. Declare your vision.

  3. Make bold moves in small doses. One action creates momentum.

  4. Call yourself out with compassion. Fear doesn’t get to be the driver anymore.

FAITH CHECK:

God didn’t give you a spirit of fear. He gave you boldness.
